The MCT conducted lectures on search and rescue and oil spill response at the VCG District ２ Headquarters in Quang Nam under the JICA framework.

They also provided practical trainings in arresting techniques necessary for suspect apprehension as well as basic rope works and casualty transport techniques required for maritime rescue, thereby enhancing the VCG's operational capabilities.

The JCG will continue to strengthen cooperation and collaboration with the coast guard agencies of other countries to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific, while also promoting capacity-building support for countries in the Indo-Pacific region.
