Measures against Tokai Earthquake

1　Docked ships shall strengthen efforts to collect information.

2　VHF-equipped ships shall listen to VHF (International VHF CH16).

3　AIS-equipped ships shall operate AIS always and entry data adequately.

1 Suspend the loading of hazardous materials.

2 Upon completion of evacuation preparations, docked ships shall await the issuance of an alert and assume a stringent alert position.

3　Ships with hazardous cargo that have completed preparations to evacuate outside of the port shall begin voluntary evacuation.

4　Ships, excluding those with hazardous cargo that require a pilot or a tugboat shall respond in the same manner as the ships with hazardous cargo.

5　Other docked ships shall begin voluntary evacuation so as to not obstruct the evacuation activities of ships described in the previous items 3 and 4.

6　In the event that competition results between the ships evacuating outside the port, priority will be granted to ships with hazardous cargo.

7　Prevention measures against the outflow of construction-related equipment shall be taken.

8　Ships with hazardous cargo shall voluntarily avoid entering the port upon recipe of warning information, and other ships shall also take the same measures.

1　All loading activities shall be suspended.

2　Docked ships, excluding small boats and miscellaneous vessels shall evacuate as a rule to a safe place outside of the port.

3　In addition to evacuating to a safe place within the port, small boats and miscellaneous vessels shall enact measures that strengthen the ship's mooring, or lift ship on the land and do lashing (in some cases, evacuate outside the port).

4　Prevention measures against the outflow of construction-related equipment shall be completed and stringent measures shall be taken.

5　Ships excluding small boats and miscellaneous vessels shall not enter the port.
