Prevention of Marine Leisure Accidents Accidents at sea on board recreational boats and those during scuba diving occur very frequently. Most of these accidents are caused by inadequate knowledge and skills or inattention to weather and sea conditions. Toward this end, JCG promotes prevention of marine accidents through national campaign for preventing marine accidents, casualty-prevention schools, on-site advice on recreational boats, etc.
